1. Who we are

This policy explains how Choto Agency, Inc. (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with this website and the DMVX desktop application. DMVX is an independent product and is not affiliated with the NY DMV or the NY Department of Taxation and Finance.

2. What this website collects

When you buy a license or contact us, we collect the information you give us: office name, your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and your order details. We use it to process your order, issue and renew your license, provide support, and send messages about your license. We also keep basic records needed for taxes and accounting.

3. Payments

Card payments are processed by Square, Inc. Your card details go directly to Square. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card brand, last four digits, and billing information. Square’s handling of your data is governed by Square’s privacy policy.

4. What the DMVX app stores on your computer

DMVX runs locally on your Windows PC. Jobs, customer details, scanned license data, and prepared forms are stored on your computer. We do not receive, access, or store that data, and it is not sent to Choto Agency, Inc. unless you choose to send it to us yourself (for example, by attaching a file to a support email). You are responsible for protecting it with computer logins, disk encryption, and backups.

5. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies or tracking scripts. Our payment form, provided by Square, may set cookies or similar technology that Square needs to process the payment securely.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with Square to process payments, with service providers that host this website or deliver email on our behalf, and when required by law or to protect our rights. Those providers may use it only to serve us.

7. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including payment processing by a PCI-compliant provider. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention

We keep order and contact records for as long as needed to provide your license and support, and as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize them. Data in the DMVX app stays on your computer until you delete it.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal record-keeping needs. Email us at miltonchoto@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Residents of some states may have additional rights under local law.

10. Children

DMVX and this website are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
